Honestly, I saw yours and tried it out! I just loaded my pictures onto Picasa web album and went through the steps. Then I added the slideshow option on my blog. Sorry I'm not much help.
Okay, I hope I can explain this! I uploaded my pics into Google photo, but you have to name the "album". Once your pics are uploaded go into your blog page elemetnts and pick the slideshow. Click on album and put in you google user name. Then your different albums will show up and you just pick the album you want. Let me know if this makes no sense at all!!
