I love that 1st crib. . .but Stacy is right on. That black one is still good.
Here's my sob story to make you feel better. We were so poor, I had to use the crib my husband slept in. And all his brothers/sister and a set of unrelated twins that chewed on the side. I think their mother kept them in it as a cage because they were part wolf. It was ugly and I hated it.
Did that make you feel better or just make you sorry for me? All 5 of my kids slept in that ugly thing. OH, and we lived in a 1 room apartment for the first two kids, so the Master bedroom and Nursery were one and the same.

There's more madness. We then moved up in the world to a 3 bedroom rental. . . had 3 more kids, but between the 4th and 5th my in-laws moved in with me. So the Master and Nursery were the same again and the 4 other kids shared one room. And grandma/grandpa took the other room. This all was within the first 8 years of my marriage.
Your life isn't so bad, right?
Well, here's the end. . . we were so sick of being CRAMMED that we over did it. We built a 10,000 square foot house. It's really a 4 piece deal; a big house, an attached guest house, a smaller house and an apartment all in one. Kind of a compound. My portion is 6,000 square feet. And my housekeeper quit and so today I will spend 3+ hours vaccumming, sweeping, mopping.
OK, TMI. Have a great day and PLEASE feel sorry for me, because now I feel sorry for myself!
ok....the crib you got is beautiful! The one we have is also a hand-me-down and is tied together! Probably not the safest thing....but it was free! I'm hoping to get a new one before our next child!
Wow, that 1st bed is quite THE bed. I would squeeze myself in it so I could have it too! But, the 2nd one is pretty too. Don't forget, there will be a lot of peeing, pooping, and barfing going on in that bed. I do believe you made the better choice!
matt not making it anymore? better than us. we never bought a crib, i think we found it in a dumpster. poor kids no wonder they won't ever sleep in it.
here's what I've learned.....the babes are in their crib for less than 2 years!!! they could give a rats where they sleep!! It's all about the bedding girl!!! Just get hooked up with some stellar cute bedding and you won't even notice.....
