When asking someone about their biggest annoyances in life, you might expect responses like “hunger,” “being poor,” or “getting shot.” If you ask a white person, the most common response will likely be “people who use ‘their’ when they mean ‘there.’ Maybe comma splices, I’m not sure but it’s definitely one of the two.”
and this sentence...
In fact, one of the greatest joys a white person can experience is to catch a grammar mistake in a major publication.

Ha, I remember that movie "Conjunction, junction, what's your function"...oh to be 8 years old again.
I know you, too, and I am careful of my grammer with you, too.
Didn't think I would figure the characters out did you?!
I don't think "getting shot" could really be classified as an "annoyance." Anyway, #99 describes me, too, but I was a writing T.A. for a whole year, so now I analyze absolutely everything--it's annoying! I'll have to take a look at the other ones on the list.
WEll, let me set the record straight - I do not like scarves. And I thought everybody would like free health care but I do like finding grammer mistakes. So does that make me white or not?
Mom & Diane, you both spelled grammar wrong. :)
That blog seriously cracks me up. One of my faves was the Dinner Parties post.
Kari you are too funny. I must admit that I am a little nervous for you to read my blog anymore. I think I use way to many commas.
ps hope your happy since your loser boyfriend David Cook won AI!
that's too funny. i wonder what race the owner of that blog is... Conjunction Junction that kills me! Good memories!!
I think that guy (or girl) knows me...
