I don't have a ton to do during the day. I work part-time from the comfort of my own home (that means I'm often in my underpants and looking fugly), I mom full-time, and that's about it. So I have found crafting blogs. Have you heard of So You Think You're Crafty? (If not, you should check it out.) Well, I started following some of her crafters, and I have a billion things to do now. One thing was to dye fabric. So I did. A onesie and a sweater. Then I put an L on the onesie for my cousin's baby. (I doubt he or his wife will look at this between now and Sunday. Or ever.) Don't look closely, but I'm kinda proud of this one. It was probably the first time I used a zig zag stitch.
You should check out these blogs (mostly their tutorials):
V & Co - spray painted slipcovers, different spray painted pillows, new sew wreath (I made this), her full list
Lil Blue Boo (my favorite) - screen printing (the hard way), reupholstering a glider, subway art, screen printing (the easy way), transferring images, beanbags, making a large stencil, reverse applique, full list
