Day 26
I didn't think of anything to write yesterday for A Funny (True) Story, so I may come back to that. (And maybe not.)
A Child I Love

Day 24
Something that makes you feel better
Sleeping. When I get really upset or depressed, I get this overwhelming feeling to sleep. Have you ever heard that you shouldn't go to bed mad? Total crap. Everything is better after you sleep. And I'm freaking awesome at it. That should have been my hobby the other day.
I'm on my mom's computer to look for a certain sleeping picture since she has pictures from forever ago, but I found these instead. I kept asking her if they were real. As in not pretending.

Day 23
A travel story
In May 2005, most of the girls on my mom's side of the family went to Italy. There were nine of us, one was pretty pregnant, and another had a baby. Oh, and my grandma was 81 or 82. Either way, she was old. (None of you better show her this post and what I wrote!!)
And now for my story. Oh I'm going to have to tell a couple stories about this trip. We were going to take a train from one city to the next, and the train was going to leave very soon, so we all just jumped into the nearest car, and the train left. Then we realized we were ten cars away from where we were supposed to be. So all nine of us, with all our luggage, had to walk to ten cars. That's a lot. When we'd go into the next car, everyone would stare at us. In one car, they all clapped and cheered, "Bella bonita!" when they saw the baby (Ansley) because she's so fair, with blue eyes and blonde hair. She turned heads everywhere we went. It was weird. Anyway, if you've ever been on a train like this, you know that when you need to get to the next car, you push a button so the doors slide open, you're in the middle, and you push another button for the other side to open. This is pretty tricky when you you have luggage and/or a baby and/or a stroller. I was one or two people behind my grandma while she was trying to get through the doors, and I think she was leaning forward as she tried to get the stroller (with no baby in it) through the doors. While she was bent over, the doors shut on her head! I couldn't stop laughing, and I turned around to the rest of my group, saying, "Grandma's head got shut in the door!" and laughed a lot more. The doors also shut on my aunt's foot as she tried to stop them from shutting, but that wasn't as funny.
Was that funny? Or did you have to be there?
I don't remember my other story now. Well bye!

Here we are, minus Kaylene, in an awesome hotel.
Was it the Ritz? Whatever it was, it was awesome, and we got to stay in it thanks to Carol.
At the Colosseum.
I was so hot in that shirt, and please notice I was staying In Touch.
No clue why we took a picture here. I think it was in Florence.
Missing CA.
Posing by all of our luggage. Minus CA again.

Day 22
A Favorite Youtube video
I've posted this before, and you've all probably seen it, but here's Charlie and his brother. Beck will end up talking like this when we move to England.

Day 20
A Favorite Recipe
Matt and I have made my mom's famous salsa a couple times recently, and some people have wanted the recipe. Perfect, because today I have to share a favorite recipe! "My salsa makes all the pretty girls want to dance and take off their underpants." I didn't say that, Eminem did.
Wendy's Famous Salsa
2 cans diced tomatoes (put in blender/Magic Bullet/food processor to chop up a little)
1 can Ro-Tel (tomatoes w/ peppers) (blender too)
1 small can tomato sauce
1 can chopped green chilies
4 fresh tomatoes - chopped
4 green onions - chopped into small pieces
chopped cilantro (we like to use the whole thing because cilantro is awesome)
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon basil
1 tsp garlic
1 tsp squeezed lime (you can't go wrong with more)
1 tsp salt
Mix. Devour.

Day 19
A Hobby of Mine
Man, it shouldn't be this hard to think of a hobby.
Umm I like to read, I guess. Usually I like to read things that aren't long.
Like the back of a cereal box.
Or a blog post with a lot of pictures, but not a hundred pictures of the same freaking thing. (Crafty blogs, you're KILLING me.)
A facebook status, but not when it's the fifth status the person has written that day.
Ok, that's all I'll say because if I say more, it will be too long for me to read.

Day 18
Put your iPod on shuffle and write 10 songs that pop up
Bryan Adams - Heaven
Jagged Edge ft Nelly - Where the Party At
Coldplay - Yellow
Billy Gillman - One Voice (ew)
Sarah McLachlan - Angel
Jimmy Hendrix - There Must Be Some Way Out of Here
Snoop Dogg - Drop It Like It's Hot
General Public - I'll Take You There
REO Speedwagon - Keep On Loving You
Dido - Thank You
Eclectic. That's the way I like it.

My pet peeve word?
Remember how I said I'd tell you the other word that annoys me? Well, I might have remembered it. MIGHT have. I'm not 100% sure this is it, but it does annoy me a little. The word is........
legit.
Unless you're using it in a non-trendy way. Then it's ok.

Day 17
A Habit You Wish You Didn't Have
Well, I can think of a couple. First of all, I say like too much. When I was sixteenish, my dad made a deal with me. He said if I made it until midnight without saying like, I could have his car. I couldn't believe it, so I had him sign a contract that I wrote up on a napkin. I started over at least six times, and I still didn't win. He had so much faith in my failure! Rude!
Second, I chew the inside of my mouth. I'm doing it right now. I'm gonna have lots of wrinkles around my mouth.

Day 15
Next 3 on Bucket List
Would you say the next three on my bucket list would be the same things as what I want to come next in life? This is making me feel like such an unmotivated person because I don't really have a bucket list.
I want to move. Into a house. In a warmer climate.
I want to make friends.
I want to learn Adobe Illustrator.
Are those lame? Yeah, probably, but oh well.

Facebook coolness
With Facebook's new, optional profile upgrade (is that a good way of putting it?), the last five tagged pictures of you are on the top of your profile. There are some really cool things some people have done with those pictures, so I copied them.
This was my first attempt:
This is what my profile looks like now:

Day 14
Your Dream House
Wow, this one is hard. I have a file in my pictures that is filled with pictures of rooms or ideas that I like. Here are some pictures from the file. (Sorry, I don't know where I got them. Some are probably from Desire to Inspire.)
I'm not really sure what style of house I love, but I like this one.

I'm not really sure what style of house I love, but I like this one.
When it comes to wall color, I really like gray, black, blue/turquoise.
Oh, and pink is ok with me.
This color is Benjamin Moore's razzle dazzle, I think.
When you have bright white molding, almost every color looks awesome.
This is a friend's house, and I love the gray walls with white molding.
Bathrooms...
Penny tiles are cool, but white grout is not.
Learned the hard way.
Miscellaneous and fun stuff...
Not a fan of these colors, but the idea is good.
Again, not a fan of the colors.
I would need a fireplace, but not necessarily this one.
And a library, with a place to sit.
Another library with cool crown molding.
Lofts are always cool.
A crawl through thingy would be fun.
A playhouse or treehouse.
A round room.
A round wall.
A secret door.
A crazy room.
Obvious.
Another cool stairs/slide combo.
Mirrored stairs (but not with brown wood)
Cool stairs.
Cool stairs that go up to the bed.
The stairs remind me of the boys' room on Home Improvement.
I like the idea, but I'd probably do a different design.
Arched windows.
More arched windows.
Not too shabby.
